Journey from the city to the African plains aboard the top floor of a scenic Soaring Kiwi double-decker bus. Auckland Zoo is an attraction that has delighted both local and international visitors since the early 1990s, and after visiting, it’s easy to see why.
Experience Te Wao Nui; The Living Realm, where you will encounter an array of wildlife completely unique to New Zealand. Experience night time during the mid-afternoon to pay a visit to New Zealand’s best-known creature and national icon; the kiwi. Or wander into the wetlands or forest to say a hello to the cheeky kea or native water fowl.
Make your way through the scenic pathways and be delighted by other curious animals, such as lions, cheetahs, flamingos, tortoises, and New Zealand’s only resident elephants.
Finally, end your trip by hopping back on your double-decker bus, where you will experience first-hand what it’s like to be the height of a giraffe, as you wave goodbye from the top deck.
